I was born in the UK back in the 60s, and have had four novels published for teens, including the award-winning Small Blue Thing trilogy, which has been translated into multiple languages. I’m now writing thrillers for adults. Much of my earlier career was spent in recruitment, interviewing executives and writing reports on their experience, and I’m now combining these two different worlds by ghost writing memoirs and life stories. This can be anything from a coffee-table book with a handful of selected memories and lots of photos, to 300-page biographies. There is no fixed format – I will speak with clients and determine with them the best product for their needs (and budget), and this can be amended as the project progresses if more memories are to be included.
Interviews can be conducted by Zoom or in person, depending on the location. With decades of experience in interviewing, I’m able to pull out the detail behind the headline of a memory, and build that into a narrative which captures your own voice, making your words available forever.
Projects are often commissioned by the younger generation to capture the histories of their parents and grandparents as part of a family archive. This is always done sensitively, with the subject making the decision about what to include – or not – about their lives.
